three acres and a cow
Three Acres And A Cow is a history of land rights and protest in folk song and story. The show connects the Norman Conquest and Peasants’ Revolt to contemporary issues via the Enclosures and Industrial Revolution, drawing a compelling narrative through the people’s history of England in folk song, story and poem. Come and share in these tales as they have been shared for generations. Principle performers are Robin Grey and Katherine Hallewell with Rachel Rose Reid, Tim Ralphs, and Roo Bramley joining on occasion. Creator of the show, Robin is a meditator, social historian, folk musician and land rights campaigner based in Sheffield. Katherine is a folk singer, food grower and community organiser based in Stroud.
