Hurry down and join us for a live, in-person 68th Sidmouth Folk Festival, now well and truly underway. A week of brilliant music, dance and song is in store at the best summer seaside festival. You can dip in and out of events with a range of ticket options which make the most sense for your time and budget!

Kicking off last night was a superb pre-Festival Concert with legendary folk-rockers Steeleye Span celebrating 50 years of music making with a night of career favourites and musical gems. Maddy Prior’s iconic vocals never fail to delight! And not forgetting the traditional informal start to the festival in the Market Square, hosted by Great Western Morris, and featuring some great local dance sides!

This afternoon sees the second pre-Festival Concert take place at 3pm in The Ham, with our favourite Cornish seafarers, Fisherman’s Friends singing the rousing traditional songs of the sea handed down to them by their forefathers.

Advance tickets are off-sale for this show due to popular demand, but there may be some tickets on the door released shortly before the concert begins.

And then, we launch straight into a busy programme of around 700 events with something for everyone!
Tonight at The Ham, we have an old hand of the folk scene, Jez Lowe, with his outstanding songwriting craft, with support from young trad. upstarts Granny’s Attic. And there’s a great night of partying and dancing at The Bulverton with the barnstorming Sheelanagig.
