FAMILY EVENING SHOWS
EVENING FAMILY ENTERTAINMENT has always been a key feature of Sidmouth FolkWeek’s Children’s Festival and this year is no exception.
By popular request we are programming a Family Ceilidh to kick-start the week’s entertainment. With a theme of Pirates, Captain Ray Greybeard will provide the music with a great family friendly caller and surprise piraty entertainment.
At the Family Story evening the Yarnsmith of Norwich’s fabulous tales and yarns will give families a great chance to listen to stories from a true yarnsmith.
Keeping the momentum going we have a fun filled Circus Evening; Big Tops and Tiny Tots from Solid State Circus all the way from Australia. Expect spinning plates, juggling, hula-hoops and lots of laughter.
Family evening entertainment would not be complete without a Medley Evening to give families a chance to see some of the festivals great performers in a relaxed atmosphere with plenty of opportunities to join in.
Hand to Mouth Theatre will be presenting their charming puppet show The Mystery of Memory Lane or…The Puppy Dog’s Tale! This warm and nostalgic show is based around a Bric-a Brac market stall where Mr Shabby and Mrs Chic try to teach a new dog old tricks in an attempt to solve the Mystery of Memory Lane.
Then to complete the week’s family entertainment we have the Stomping Ceilidh in Blackmore Gardens Marquee. Featuring music from the amazing Seaside Stompers Ceilidh Band with one of the festivals top callers and as always some very special entertainment. Get there early it is always a buzzing evening.
