Sidmouth Town Council
Sidmouth Town Council has again renewed its significant and long–term support for the Festival. All areas of the Festival benefit from this support, especially our work with young people through our Children’s and Youth Festivals and our developing work with local groups and communities.
Devon County Council
We are grateful to Devon County Council Member Stuart Hughes’s Locality fund for its support which helps us strengthen our main concert programme and provide for new young people’s initiatives.
East Devon District Council
East Devon District Council departments give assistance and advice and help with support services and facilities.
Arts Council England – Supporting Grassroots Music
We are grateful to Arts Council England for funding for our Accessing Sidmouth project to help making the Sidmouth Folk Festival more accessible to all – audiences, artists and staff, for the future of the Festival.
EFDSS
The English Folk Dance and Song Society support a series of “EFDSS Presents” concerts featuring EFDSS Bursary recipients and emerging artists.
Creative Scotland
We are grateful to Creative Scotland for their support of our Sounds of Modern Scotland programme strand, showcasing emerging young Scottish artists.
Arts Council England
Supported using public funding by the National Lottery through Arts Council England for the Story of Sidmouth project, working with artists and the local community leading up to the 70th Sidmouth Folk Festival in 2024.
Creative East Devon Fund
Free Children’s Festival workshops have been funded by the Creative East Devon Fund through the UK Shared Prosperity Fund. Thank you to Arts and Culture East Devon for their support.
Halsway Manor
Halsway Manor, the National Centre for the Folk Arts, showcase the Halsway Young Folk participants in concerts and sessions.
Middle Bar Singers’ Reunion Weekend
A number of events take place each year which raise funds for the Festival, in particular the Middle Bar Singers Reunion Weekend in February (and not forgetting their collections during the Festival). Many thanks to them and to all other individuals and organisations making donations to Sidmouth Folk Festival.
Firework Display
Following the traditional Torchlight Procession on Friday 9th August, there will be a Firework Display. We appreciate the generosity of local businesses who support the display.
Blackmore & Bulverton Bars
The bars at Blackmore & Bulverton Bars are run by volunteers supporting the Festival. Many thanks to all of the volunteers for giving up their time.
