As the long summer term comes to a close, we want to extend a warm-hearted welcome to all children and families at the Children’s Festival at The Sidmouth Folk Festival (2nd – 9th August).

The Children’s Festival offers fantastic top quality opportunities for young people of all ages to embark on journeys of discovery in music and dance, as well as creative workshop activities and some brilliant family evening shows.

Blackmore Gardens is the colourful hub for families during the day, featuring performances on the Garden Stage, dance displays, walkabout and pop up entertainment. There will be family ceilidh dancing and face painting, a brand new Threads, Strings and Yarns area and the opportunity for young people to perform at the new BUSKIT spot.

Come and soak up the atmosphere, and also join in the brilliantly varied range of workshop activities. A Children’s Week Season ticket gives priority entrance to all Children’s/Family events, space permitting. Children’s Festival Workshops can be paid for on the door. 4 year olds and under whose parent/carer has an adult season ticket get free entry to events. See full details in the Children’s Programme here.
