Kerry Fletcher is a welcome festival regular, an experienced dance workshop leader and accomplished performer in many styles. A choreographer and traditional dancer, Kerry is is Co Artistic Director of Folk Dance Remixed, a freelance community folk dance artist and the coordinator of the English Folk Dance and Song Society’s (EFDSS) national Folk Education Network.

Kerry has been steeped in traditional dance and music from an early age. As a young person, she led a double life of morris dancer by day and disco dancer by night!

With Folk Dance Remixed she combines her love of the old and new, reinvigorating and reinventing traditional dance to be enjoyed by all. She’s particularly interested in creating performance and participatory dance with English folk dance at its heart, and in celebrating the riches of diversity in dance that this country enjoys.

As a community folk dance artist, she enjoys collaborating with both participants and other artists to create new work. Increasing accessibility and inclusion in dance is an important aspect of Kerry’s work.

Her work with the Folk Education Network enables her to share her passion for folk arts education and deliver the EFDSS vision for a national network of educators committed to promoting high quality folk arts education and supporting the practitioners who deliver it.
