The Melsons

What do you get when you cross The Wilsons with The Melrose Quartet? The Melsons of course! The Wilson Family, the well known powerhouse of unaccompanied singing, from Billingham, Teesside, have been singing and performing a cappella folk songs since 1974. Over those decades the group members have consisted of sister Pat and five brothers: Tom, Chris, Steve, Ken and Mike. The present-day group are the original core members, Tom, Chris and Steve and youngest brother Mike. Known for their strong acapella harmony singing and instrumental work, Melrose Quartet perform a diverse repertoire, from carousing chorus songs and lively dance tunes to ancient stories. The Melrose Quartet comprises two duos, Nancy Kerr and James Fagan and Jess and Richard Arrowsmith.
