The Festival Team

A week-long celebration of music, dance and song in a stunning seaside location in East Devon.

A national treasure – a major cultural institution held every year in the first week of August since 1955 attracting tens of thousands of visitors.

A champion of folk traditions – with over 700 diverse events with a wide-ranging ‘something for everyone’ appeal.

An ear to the past and an eye on the future – established stars brush shoulders with emerging talent in major concerts, lively roots parties, small intimate sessions, ceilidhs, folk dancing, storytelling events, fun family entertainment, youth-centred sessions, hands-on workshops and spectacular dance displays.

A local focus on the best in South West crafts and the tastiest of local food and drink.
