We’re excited to introduce a new hearing accessibility technology at this year’s Sidmouth Folk Festival, making it easier than ever to enjoy clear, high-quality sound at festival performances.

Auracast broadcast audio will be available at these three main venues: The Ham, Blackmore Gardens Marquee and The Bulverton.

Whether you use hearing technology or simply want to enjoy a clearer listening experience, you can connect in the way that works best for you.

You can access the Auracast broadcast in the following ways:

  • Auracast-enabled hearing aids, cochlear implants, earbuds or headphones
Connect directly to the broadcast for a seamless, high-quality listening experience.
  • Hearing aids or cochlear implants with a telecoil (T-loop)
Switch your hearing device to the T-loop setting anduse one of the festival’s receiver packs with a loop necklace to receive the Auracast broadcast wirelessly.
  • Standard wired headphones (3.5 mm jack)
Bring your own wired headphones or borrow a pair from the festival. Simply plug them into one of the festival’s receiver packs to listen to the broadcast.

Volunteers at the three venues will be happy to help you connect or borrow equipment if you need assistance.
