The Beadling
The Beadling (Alice Beadle, Victoria Lynn and Juliet Beadle) are a trio from East Sussex. The English folk trio blend traditional music and original composition, focusing on dynamic storytelling and uplifting voices that are often overlooked. Using a multitude of instruments, violin, flute, voice, banjo and the recorder, we craft intricate arrangements to capture the rich emotional lives in these traditional stories and explore the impact that social identity had on folk figures of the past.
They like starting with exploring physical elements of music through looking in the British Library for Broadsides to tracing melodies to print copies.
