Dorset Fiddlers
The Dorset Fiddlers are a folk fiddle orchestra, bringing together some of the county’s finest folk musicians to celebrate the rich musical heritage of Dorset and beyond. The ensemble blends source material from archival manuscripts (Hardy and Ben Rose collections) along with newly penned tunes to create a captivating programme. Their music is steeped in tradition, yet they embrace innovation to create something truly special. Now is the chance to hear the exhilarating sound of a folk fiddle orchestra in their debut concert at Sidmouth. Expect an exhilarating journey through elegant minuets, lilting waltzes, and the irresistible energy of jigs and reels — all reimagined in bold, contemporary arrangements.
