Owen Spafford, Will Allen and Ben Filmer-Sankey
This trio met in the thriving London Irish trad scene and quickly bonded over a mutual love of English traditional and Appalachian old time music. They bring their newly released album ‘Sun In The Sands’ to Sidmouth this year! The album title comes from a concrete roundabout on the A2 in Blackheath, itself named after a pub which has been on the site since the 18th century. The generations of musicians in the story of this music reflect the layers of history and peoples’ lives buried in the geography of London.
