Miranda Sykes

Miranda Sykes is a folk singer, double-bassist and guitarist who performed with Steve Knightley and Phil Beer in Show of Hands for 20 years, in addition to solo work, and recording and touring with Hannah Martin and with Rex Preston. The year 2024 brings many projects for Miranda, including a second tour with Hannah Martin, a new Baring-Gould Centenary project with Jim Causley, summer festivals with vocal group Daphne’s Flight, a tour with The Phil Beer Trio and a tour with her new solo album, Out Of The Woods. A collection of songs that has seen Miranda through her own journey of isolation, illness and recovery over the past few turbulent years, it is her hope that this album with provide others with a similar comfort.
