Eugenia Georgieva

Born in Bulgaria and now living in London, and inspired by the traditional music of her homeland, Eugenia Georgieva is a singer of a deep, abounding grace. With a love of music past and present, she weaves a vocal tapestry from folk music to rock and electronica. Eugenia is also one-third of Yantra a groundbreaking vocal ensemble mixing Bulgarian, Indian and English Renaissance vocal music; and leads the Veda Slovena Bulgarian Choir at University College London. Her debut solo album, Po Drum Mome is an exploration of the joys and sorrows of Bulgarian folk song.
‘Sincere renditions of traditional Balkan songs with the skill of a top-tier chamber ensemble and a style that almost sounds like the popular folk revival movement of 1960s Britain and America.’ Pop Matters
