Holly Clarke

Holly Clarke

With an infectious energy and passion for traditional song, singer and guitarist Holly Clarke sings old ballads and songs of the supernatural and folklore, and tales of love and loss. Also a composer, her tune compositions have been performed by Norwegian fiddle legend Annbjørg Lien and Shetland’s very own Catriona Macdonald. Holly was Sage Gateshead’s Artist in Residence 2019 – 2020, specialising in Traditional Folk Song and Ballads. She also organises events that platform Queer folk musicians in the North East, supporting artists to connect and network within and beyond the region. In addition to her solo work, Holly also has a trio, Holly & The Reivers, and performs in a duo with George Sansome of Granny’s Attic.
