Liberty Hill Northwest Morris were formed virtually during lockdown by a group of like-minded, experienced dancers who got together to set up a team with a bit of oomph, style and difference in our dances and music, plus striking kit.

Monday 5 August 1:00-2:00 pm Blackmore Gardens Marquee A Chance to Meet Liberty Hill Northwest Morris and Wakefield Morris Dancers. Wakefield (est 1980) and Liberty Hill (est 2021) are similar, and different. Come and find out how, see them dance, ask questions, and generally get to know them in an informal ‘meet the teams’ event. MC Graham Lee (Free Entry)

Thursday 8 August 9:30-11:00 am Bulverton Marquee North West Morris workshop with Liberty Hill – Butterley. Written by our Squire, Sheila Garner in 2009 when the Butterley Engineering Co in Ripley, Derbyshire closed after 200 years. The company made the famous blue painted girders at St. Pancras Station. Our music is Le Camion. All abilities welcome. (Season, All-in-One or Workshops Ticket holders)

Fri 9 August 9:30-11:00 am Bulverton Marquee North West Morris workshop with Liberty Hill – Westhoughton. Written by Trefor Owen in the 1980s in celebration of the gargoyles on Westhoughton church tower. Our music is Quadrille Bouchard and Marche du Verner. All abilities welcome.
